Honorable Mention A Sufi Mystic SplinterGroup (Alan Addotto) Sunrise rosy and virginal Bishrah and his morning espresso; The illustrious Koran unopened and on his lap with a hand marked with calligraphy-like scars resting on the cover. An old man's hand touching the supplesoft worn leather like an experienced lover caressingly gently, lovingly. Both still trying to understand the complexities---- one of the other. A sip, a reflection, a quiet world-less experience. The completely opened heart,,,,,, like a garden. Flowers of pain next to flowers of joy. Even knowing the plan and being an old man does not remove the hurts of separation. Seeing the Holy Face only makes the wait that much harder. That much sweeter. |
